Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the booking and provision of transport services by Zoom Cars. By making a booking with Zoom Cars, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. DEFINITIONS
 

In these Terms:

“Zoom Cars”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Zoom Cars and its drivers, employees, agents, contractors, or affiliated service providers.

“Customer” or “you” means the person or organisation making a booking.

“Passenger” means any person travelling in a vehicle booked through Zoom Cars.

“Driver” means a licensed private hire driver assigned to a booking.

“Vehicle” means any car, MPV, executive vehicle, minibus, or other transport vehicle used to provide services.

“Booking” means a reservation made through the Zoom Cars website, mobile application, phone, email, or other authorised booking channel.

“Services” means passenger transport, airport transfers, courier services, or related services provided by Zoom Cars.

“Collection Address” means the pickup location specified by the customer.

“Destination Address” means the drop-off location specified by the customer.

“Fare” means the price payable for the booked service.

 

  1. BOOKINGS
 

Booking Methods

Bookings may be made via:

  • the Zoom Cars website
  • the Zoom Cars mobile application
  • telephone
  • email
  • authorised partners

All bookings are subject to availability.

 

Booking Confirmation

A booking becomes confirmed once Zoom Cars sends confirmation via:

  • SMS
  • email
  • mobile application
  • or phone confirmation.
  • Customer Responsibilities

 

Customers must ensure that booking details are correct, including:

  • pickup location
  • destination
  • passenger numbers
  • luggage requirements
  • flight details (for airport bookings)

Zoom Cars is not responsible for delays or additional charges caused by incorrect booking details.

 

  1. PRICING AND PAYMENTS
 

Fares

Fares are calculated based on factors including:

  • distance
  • estimated travel time
  • vehicle type
  • time of day
  • demand
  • waiting time
  • additional stops

Prices quoted during booking may be fixed fares or estimated fares.

Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods include:

  • credit cards
  • debit cards
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay
  • online payments
  • corporate account billing
  • cash (where available)
    • Additional Charges

 

Additional charges may apply for:

  • waiting time
  • route changes
  • extra stops
  • parking fees
  • airport pickup charges
  • toll roads
  • additional luggage
  • cleaning or damage to vehicles

 

  1. CANCELLATION POLICY

 

  • Standard Cancellation

Bookings cancelled before driver dispatch may not incur any charge.

  • Driver Dispatch Cancellation

If a booking is cancelled after a driver has been dispatched, the full fare will be charged as a cancellation fee.

A driver is considered dispatched once they:

  • Accept the booking, and
  • begin travelling to the pickup location.
  • No-Show Policy

If the passenger fails to appear at the pickup location and cannot be contacted within 10 minutes of the scheduled pickup time, the booking will be treated as a no-show, and the full fare will be charged.

 

  1. WAITING TIME

 

Standard Pickups

The first 5 minutes of waiting time after the scheduled pickup time is free.

After this period, waiting time may be charged at the current waiting rate.

Airport Pickups

Free waiting time:

  • 30 minutes for international flights
  • 15 minutes for domestic flights

Waiting time begins from the flight landing time or scheduled pickup time.

Parking charges may also apply.

  1. PASSENGER CONDUCT

 

Passengers must behave respectfully toward drivers.

Drivers may refuse service if a passenger:

  • behaves aggressively
  • uses abusive language
  • damages the vehicle
  • is excessively intoxicated
  • threatens safety

Smoking or vaping inside vehicles is strictly prohibited.

Food and alcohol consumption inside vehicles is not permitted unless agreed beforehand.

 

  1. VEHICLE DAMAGE AND CLEANING FEES

 

Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle.

Zoom Cars reserves the right to charge fees for:

  • vehicle damage
  • excessive dirt
  • spills
  • vomiting or contamination

Cleaning or damage charges may range from £80 to £300 depending on severity.

Passengers may also be charged for driver downtime caused by vehicle cleaning.

 

  1. LUGGAGE
 

Passengers are responsible for their luggage.

Zoom Cars accepts no liability for:

  • lost items
  • damaged luggage
  • belongings left in vehicles

Customers must inform Zoom Cars in advance of:

  • large luggage
  • oversized items
  • special equipment

 

  1. CHILDREN AND MINORS
 

Children must be accompanied by an adult unless otherwise agreed.

Child seats must be requested during booking if required.

Zoom Cars accepts no additional responsibility for minors travelling without supervision.

 

  1. ANIMALS
 

Passengers travelling with animals must inform Zoom Cars when booking.

Animals must be transported in suitable carriers unless they are registered assistance dogs.

Assistance dogs are always permitted.

 

  1. ROUTE CHANGES
 

If a passenger requests additional stops or route changes during the journey, additional charges may apply.

Drivers may refuse route changes if:

  • it affects safety
  • it breaches licensing rules
  • it significantly alters the journey.

 

  1. LOST PROPERTY
 

Zoom Cars is not responsible for items left in vehicles.

If property is found:

  • it will be held for 28 days where possible
  • a delivery fee may apply for returning items.

Unclaimed items may be disposed of after 28 days.

 

  1. LIABILITY
 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zoom Cars shall not be liable for:

  • traffic delays
  • road closures
  • weather conditions
  • missed flights
  • missed appointments
  • indirect or consequential losses

Zoom Cars’ liability for any claim relating to services shall be limited to the fare paid for the booking.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

 

  1. FORCE MAJEURE

 

Zoom Cars shall not be liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond its control including:

  • severe weather
  • accidents
  • road closures
  • strikes
  • vehicle breakdown
  • government restrictions
  • public emergencies

 

  1. DRIVER SAFETY
 

Zoom Cars operates a zero-tolerance policy toward abuse of drivers.

Any passenger who:

  • threatens a driver
  • refuses to pay
  • damages the vehicle
  • behaves dangerously

may have their journey terminated immediately.

Full fare will still be charged.

 

  1. DATA PROTECTION
 

Zoom Cars processes personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws including GDPR.

Information collected during bookings is used only for providing services and improving customer experience.

  1. CHARGEBACKS AND FRAUD
 

If a customer disputes a legitimate payment or performs a chargeback without valid reason, Zoom Cars reserves the right to:

  • recover outstanding amounts
  • charge administrative fees
  • suspend future bookings
  • pursue legal recovery if necessary.

 

  1. CHANGES TO TERMS
 

Zoom Cars reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.

Updated versions will be published on the website.

Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

 

  1. GOVERNING LAW
 

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
